Modern Slavery Statement 2025
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps MAP has taken during the financial year ending 31 December 2024 to assess and manage the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within its business and supply chains.
We are committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We recognise our responsibility to assess and address the potential risk of modern slavery and human trafficking, even where that risk is considered minimal.
Due Diligence: Employment
We recognise that ethical recruitment practices are an important part of our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. While our workforce is primarily employed in professional roles and we consider the risk of exploitation to be low, we take reasonable steps to ensure that individuals are recruited and employed in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Our due diligence processes include:
- Verifying the identity and right to work of all employees
- Ensuring that recruitment is conducted directly or through reputable agencies
- Providing clear employment terms and conditions
- Maintaining open channels for reporting concerns, including whistleblowing mechanisms
We continue to monitor our employment practices and remain alert to any indicators of exploitation.
Due Diligence: Supply Chains
Our supply chains are limited and we believe that the risk of MAP becoming involved in the support or encouragement of slavery, human trafficking or forced labour is minimal. MAP outsources some functions to reputable professional firms, including but not limited to IT vendors and HR services, and utilises the services of third parties for office management. A list of outsourced providers is maintained and regularly reviewed. Our suppliers are expected to operate to the highest professional and ethical standards and to comply with all local and national laws and regulations. We do not directly engage in sectors commonly associated with high incidences of modern slavery.
Where suppliers or service providers operate in sectors or regions that present a slightly higher risk of modern slavery, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
This may include requesting a copy of the supplier’s Modern Slavery Statement (where applicable under the Modern Slavery Act 2015) or seeking other forms of assurance regarding their approach to ethical sourcing and labour standards. We view this as part of our broader responsibility to encourage transparency and awareness throughout our supply chain.
Related Policies
We have existing policies and procedures which provide guidance on acceptable conduct and reporting mechanisms for concerns, these include:
- Whistleblowing Policy
- Outsourcing Procedures
- Risk Management Policy
- Recruitment Policy
At this stage, our approach to managing modern slavery risk remains proportionate to our operations and overall exposure. We intend to keep this under review and consider further measures if required.
